Learn what exactly the Spotify Daylist is, how it works, and - of course - how to find your Spotify Daylist.

In case you missed the recent news, Spotify has expanded its Spotify Dailyst feature to global users after a year of testing, mainly across North America and Australia.

By “worldwide,” we mean 14 additional languages, hundreds of markets, and – yes – both Free and Premium users.

Spotify announced the news of the Daylist expansion and shared some neat stats, revealing that 70% of Daylist listeners come back to the playlist weekly. It’s a popular feature! Over on Reddit, the announcement was met with excitement, especially from European users. They got a message that looks something like this.

By the way, there was another update before the September news, as Spotify expanded the Daylist into 65 extra markets—but in English only. Now, you can check out your daily recommendations in about a dozen different languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish, and more.

“Our product team worked closely with our local music and culture experts to infuse the spirit of daylist into each language, ensuring that the feature resonates with new users worldwide”, the Spotify team stated via press release.

So today we’ll focus on this fun feature and explain stuff like what is a Spotify Daylist, how to find it, and all that.

What Is Spotify Daylist?

Spotify Daylist is an evolving playlist of 50 songs tailored to your musical taste. It changes throughout the day based on your activity on the platform.

Because it updates multiple times during the same day, Daylist also considers the types of music you enjoy during specific periods, e.g., hard rock in the morning or lo-fi jazz beats in the evening.

Spotify Daylist can include both songs you liked or added to your existing playlists or fresh recommendations you never listened to before. It’s a mix.

How to Find Spotify Daylist (Mobile + Desktop)

Finding your Spotify Daylist is very easy – one of the easiest Spotify features to activate, for sure.

There are several ways to find your Spotify Daylist, and they’re all explained in one line. So here they are, one by one.

Note that these steps apply to all devices – Spotify mobile app, the desktop app, but also the Spotify Web Player.

  1. Option 1: Follow this link. It takes you straight to your current Spotify Daylist.
  2. Option 2: Type “daylist” in your Spotify search bar. Your Daylist will pop up first in the results.

  1. Option 3: Click the search bar and scroll down to “Made For You”. Click on it. You’ll find the Daylist under “Uniquely yours”.

I got my Spotify Daylist using the second option. It generated a playlist titled “Lo-Fi beats chill study Wednesday night” with the description, “You listened to lo-fi and study beats on Wednesdays at night. Here’s some: lo-fi, chill study, study beats, jazz beats, chill instrumental, and free jazz.”

This was a good list and it does reflect my habit to unwind later during the day with lo-fi stuff.

A few hours later, the Daylist was updated, this time around to hard rock music and Spotify saying I enjoy some heavy psych late at night. Don’t mind if I do!

How to Save a Spotify Daylist

There are two ways to save a Spotify Daylist. The first one is to click the big + button to add the playlist to your library. Or, tap the three dots and select “Add to your library”. Important: this will save the “evolving” Daylist to your library, meaning that when your Spotify Daylists updates, this saved playlist will also be updated.

The second way to save your Spotify Daylist—and this is available only through the app, not the Spotify Web Player—is to click those same three dots, select “Add to other playlist”, and either create a new playlist or add the 50 songs to an existing one.

Again, important: This will permanently save the Daylist you are looking at so it remains saved even when your Spotify Daylist updates.

The second option is good if you want to save multiple Spotify Daylists to a single playlist, for example, instead of saving each Daylist as a separate list.

Note that once a Daylist expires, and they expire every few hours, you can’t retrieve it. So if you liked your Spotify Daylist, save it just in case. You can always delete it later.

How to Share Spotify Daylist

Sharing a Spotify Daylist is no different from sharing a regular Spotify playlist. Just open your Daylist, hit the three-dot symbol, go to “Share”, and then “Copy link to playlist”.

Send the copied link to your friends whichever way you want. You can also embed the playlist.

Spotify mentions that “shareability is built into the experience and you can choose from three different sharecard options to upload”, including a “changing sharecard with up to four different background graphics depending on the time of day you post your daylist”. Still, works like any playlist share for me.
